On the evening of April 18th, the award ceremony of the 18th Dreaming Zhejiang series of foreign student activities in Zhejiang Province in 2025, jointly organized by the Education Department of Zhejiang Province, the Information Office of Zhejiang Provincial Government, the Foreign Affairs Office of Zhejiang Provincial Government, and Zhejiang Radio and Television Group, and hosted by the Education, Science, Film and Television Channel of Zhejiang Television and Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics, was held at Zhejiang University of Finance and Economics. Leaders including Liu Limin, President of the China Education International Exchange Association, An Yan, Deputy Secretary General, Shu Peidong, Deputy Director of the Education Department of Zhejiang Province, Luo Lili, spokesperson for the Propaganda Department of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, and Xu Dongliang, Deputy Editor in Chief of Zhejiang Radio and Television Group, attended the event.
Accompanied by the passionate and uplifting melody of the classic song Men should strive for self-improvement, 16 international students from 8 countries including Russia, Azerbaijan, and Cameroon perfectly interpreted the charm of lion dance art in traditional Chinese culture with exquisite skills and full enthusiasm. Their movements were neat and uniform, jumping, tumbling, and twisting, each one filled with a sense of power and rhythm, as if showcasing the lion's agility and strength to the fullest. Through such a wonderful cross-cultural performance, international students not only demonstrated a high degree of integration between personal qualities and teamwork, but also demonstrated their love and respect for traditional Chinese culture.
The Dreaming Zhejiang series of activities for foreign students in Zhejiang Province is the annual cultural carnival for foreign students in Zhejiang Province. The event aims to create an atmosphere of learning in Zhejiang and enjoying in China for international students studying in Zhejiang, and also provide them with a communication platform to perceive the development of Zhejiang and share beautiful friendships. Since the event was held, it has attracted tens of thousands of international students from over 50 universities in the province and more than 170 countries and regions to participate widely, becoming the golden calling card for cultural activities and international communication work of international students in our province.
